Open Martial Arts Tournament

  1. Total points in 2 minutes
  2. If there is a 5 point advantage match is over
  3. All techniques are worth 1 point each.
  4. NO face contact allowed at all in children’s divisions 11 & under-Light contact will be allowed
  5. NO spinning back fists allowed
  6. Spin kicks must be controlled
  7. NO kicks to the legs or joints
  8. Lead leg outside inside boot to boot unbalancing sweeps allowed ONLY in Black Belt adult divisions.
  9. Lead hand grab 2 second follow up allowed in Black Belt adult only
  10. If competitor touches floor match is to be stopped.
  11. ONLY “1” warning is given for excessive contact or rule infraction. Next Infraction is loss of point then disqualification.
  12. NO Leg checks
  13. Back (Not Spine) is an open target only in Adult Black belts.
  14. No run by unfocused techniques will be scored.
  15. No 2 students from the same school will fight in the first round (if possible)
